In early 2010 the decision was made to completely refurbish the cottage and as well as keeping it as a family holiday home to let other holidaymakers enjoy it as well. So, let me take you on a tour of the house.

The front door opens into the sitting room, which is a cosy welcoming room with an open fire. There is WiFi, a TV with Freeview and a DVD player. The original floorboards in here run through into the dining room and have been sanded and treated to restore their beauty. The dining table is extendable and seats 6 at its smallest. The CD player has an IPOD docking station. There is a cupboard with books, games and ideas of places to go. From the dining room you step down into the kitchen, which is equipped with a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave with ample cutlery, crockery, pots and pans.

A door in the dining room panelling leads upstairs to the first floor where you will find two bedrooms and a bathroom. The big bay windowed bedroom at the front of the house has twin beds, which can be zipped together to create a super king size bed. The second bedroom has views out to sea and has a double bed. The newly tiled bathroom is spacious and has an electric shower over a ā€˜Pā€™ shaped bath. Then up another flight of stairs to the top bedroom, which has twin beds, and a marvellous view of Scolt Head Island and the North Sea.

There is easy access onto the marsh through a gap in the hedge at the bottom of our long garden. There is a picnic table and plenty of space for children to play, while you sit and watch the boats sail past.
